Courtesy Call by the Acting British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam

Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office received a Courtesy Call from Mr. Ken O’Flaherty, Acting British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam. The Courtesy Call was held on 26th November 2025 at the Prime Minister’s Office. Accompanying the Acting British High Commissioner were Mr. Shozey Jafferi, Head of Energy Transition at the UK Department for Business and Trade and Mr. Richard Burch, Clean Energy Lead for Asia Pacific at the UK Department of Business and Trade, based in the British Consulate in Melbourne, Australia.

During the Courtesy Call both sides discussed and exchange views on future energy collaboration including Decarbonisation and UK-Brunei Green Economy Framework.

The Courtesy Call is also a testament of Brunei Darussalam and the United Kingdom’s long standing diplomatic ties that encompasses various areas of collaborations.
