Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office received a Courtesy Call from Mr. Masaru Saito, Executive Vice President and Group CEO of Environmental Energy Group at Mitsubishi Corporation on 9th June 2025 at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the call, both sides exchange views on cooperation and matters of mutual interest particularly on energy cooperation. Yang Mulia Dato and Mr. Masaru Saito recognized the importance of energy transition and stable energy supply for a sustainable and resilient future.
Brunei Darussalam and Japan have a long-standing commitment in energy cooperation since the early 1970s in which Japan has remained a key destination for Brunei’s LNG exports. Apart from LNG, Brunei Darussalam’s export to Japan has also now expanded to include crude oil, methanol and urea.
