His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on Tuesday, 9th December 2025 chaired the 417th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) and the 195th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei Shell Marketing (BSM) for the fourth quarter of 2025 at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Economy and Finance II and Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office, in their capacity as members of BSP and BSM Board of Directors.
In his titah, His Majesty highlighted the need for the companies to maintain competitiveness and resilience amid an evolving economic and energy landscape.
His Majesty emphasised the importance of safety, strong leadership, and capability development, including nurturing talent and fostering a high-performance culture, noting that sustained focus in these areas is essential to driving future performance and supporting Brunei’s long-term national aspirations.
His Majesty also expressed appreciation for the comprehensive discussions over the past two days on business plans and operations, which addressed critical areas including safety, operational performance, financial management, manpower development, and strategic planning.
The meetings marked the conclusion of the Brunei Shell Joint Venture Companies and Brunei Gas Carriers Board Meetings for the fourth quarter of 2025.
