Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Energy, Upstream and Downstream) received an Introductory Call from His Excellency Mario Masayuki Toyotoshi, the Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay to Brunei Darussalam on 19 October 2026 at the Prime Minister’s Office.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the evolving global energy landscape and shared priorities, with a focus on renewable energy and low-carbon transition. The discussion underscored how shifting geopolitical dynamics are encouraging nations to diversify suppliers, secure essential inputs, and forge new commercial partnerships beyond traditional alliances.
His Excellency was in Brunei Darussalam to present his Letters of Credence to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 19 October 2026.
