The Department of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday, hosted the working visit of Mr. Puah Kok Keong, Chief Executive of Energy Market Authority (EMA), Republic of Singapore and delegation. As part of the visit, Mr. Puah and delegation paid a Courtesy Call on Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office. Discussions revolved around energy cooperation, particularly in the areas of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), low-carbon technologies, smart grids, and grid resilience.

In conjunction with the visit, Yang Mulia Hajah Farida binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Talib, Permanent Secretary (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office hosted a welcoming working luncheon, which was also attended by Heads of Divisions and officers from the Department of Energy at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The one-day working visit also includes visit to the Brunei Energy Hub, which showcases Brunei’s oil and gas legacy and its importance to the nation’s growth and development.
